About the Office of Cancer 培训 and 教育

Young scientists in the lab of Dr. 林Gomperts. With the support of resources like the Learning Board, the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive 癌症中心 is helping to train the next generation of cancer researchers.

The UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive 癌症中心's Office of Cancer 培训 and 教育 is committed to exceptional cancer research 教育, mentorship and training to support trainee career development and provide a foundation for ongoing progress against cancer. Our mission is to foster innovation and excellence in interdisciplinary cancer 教育 and training through partnerships and to create innovative and complementary cancer-related 教育 and training 项目 for all trainee levels. The Office embraces, 坐标, and helps organize rich and diverse cancer 教育 and training 项目 across the UCLA campus and at affiliate and partner institutions. Serving as a coordination center for all 教育al activities in the 癌症中心, the Office provides an academic and administrative scaffold for supporting cancer-related training and 教育 in basic, 临床, and population sciences.

To achieve our mission the Office has three primary objectives:

1. To identify, integrate, and support existing cancer-relevant 教育 and training activities
2. To create and coordinate new cancer 教育, career development, and mentorship 项目 and activities
3. To engage trainees from underrepresented groups and support their cancer career development

Virtual Assistance

The Office of Cancer 培训 and 教育 offers free virtual assistance for cancer training, 教育, and mentorship related meetings. Virtual assistance is available to all 癌症中心 members only, and a two-month notice is required for all meeting requests.

• May 2024: NIH ‘F' writing workshop for Grad students, Postdocs, Fellows and Residents
